Two Athlon Low Voltage at AMD

During November, AMD will unveil two new low-power processors, the Athlon 2650E and 3250E Athlon X2. The first has a single core clocked at 1.6 GHz with a TDP limited to 15 watts while the second board two cores clocked at 1.5 GHz for a TDP of only 22 Watts. These two models are engraved in 65 nm and are part of the range Ultra-Value Client reserved for OEMs.

Several manufacturers such as Asus, Acer Shuttle or have plans to integrate these processors in compact models. These machines should come out during the month of December. These new processors are expected to compete with the Celeron and Pentium Dual Core input range.
