Operators fans exclusivity

The iPhone is certainly an excellent case for operators who, despite the cost of smartphone paid to Apple, have done their account: the benefit in terms of image and packages data web sold (very lucrative) outweigh the price purchase.
One learns that AT & T, the operator in charge of the iPhone the USA, has signed with Apple for at least one extra year of exclusivity. This pushes the maturity of a possible opening to competition in 2010 …
In Britain, O2 would have built the exclusivity agreement until 2012, with a renegotiation at the end of 2009. This is not the business of Orange, which was seen selling the iPhone 3G.
