Mozilla appoint the best extensions Firefox 3.0

Mozilla announced the winners of its third contest: “Extensions for Firefox.” As a reminder, this is an annual competition which is to reward the authors of the best extensions for the Mozilla browser.

Launched in March this year, this contest has listed over 100 extensions, which should primarily focus on support for Firefox 3.0. Three titles were awarded at the ceremony: “the best new extension” is returned to Pencil, tools to easily create charts and graphics interfaces. In this category, Tagmarks, an extension that can simplify and improve the recognition and bookmarks HandyTag, software to automate information tags for the favourites, were also rewarded.

In the register “best extension update,” Mozilla has also awarded three winners. They include: Read it Later (a replacement for the favourites), TagSifter (to navigate his favorites via tags) and Bookmark Preview (an extension that allows a preview of its sites to your favorites).

Finally, Mozilla has also put forward the “best extension for music” with Fire.fm, an extension that allows users to Last.fm to access their music from Firefox.
