IDF 2008: Focus on the roadmap 2008/2009

Intel benefits from the IDF 2008 to provide an update on its roadmap for the current year and those to come. We learn, unsurprisingly, that the Core processors i7 Extreme and Core i7, the first representative of architecture Nehalem released at year end 2008 with the X58 platform. Beginning 2009, Intel is expected to start declensions its Nehalem architecture with the release of Lynnfield, a processor with four hearts and 8 threads.
