Asus has not finished surprise us. After leaving the Eee PC 900 in France last May, the Taiwanese company has decided to add a service of a new genre for the next model. Indeed, to overcome the low ability of new disk drives the DSS Eee PC 901 (12 or 20Gb), the computer will be coupled to a storage service online. The Eee Storage, which is not unlike Apple’s iDisk, will be free. Suffice it to the user to associate the ID of his machine to this virtual hard disk to access it from Windows or Linux. With a simple drag and drop your data will flow via a secure connection. Asus sets a limit of 5GB of bandwidth per day.

In China, the company also plans to open a download site. The Eee Download service will have a 3000 catalogue of free software. Eventually, Asus provides the platform to develop internationally by adding download fee and a catalogue of music.
