ViaMichelin abruptly abandons updates to its GPS

While he had initially indicated it would continue its support for GPS in some time, the ViaMichelin manufacturer sells more updates of maps and software, or accessories for his GPS. The online shop of the manufacturer indicates very clearly: “The online sale of accessories, cards and software is no longer available.” A bad news for owners of GPS ViaMichelin.

Recall that ViaMichelin officially announced last January he stopped GPS market under its own brand, to focus on services. Since then, the publisher has an agreement with Navigon, which now offers its new line of GPS with items of interest practices and tourist ViaMichelin.
Yet stocks ViaMichelin GPS are still far from being passed: we can find some models in general or specialized signs. The X970 model-T is even part Sellers site Fnac this week.
About therefore before buying: it is not advisable to buy a GPS-even price-which broke mapping is doomed to become obsolete.
