The Internet giant, Google, which is preparing Android, an operating system for mobile phones, has no intention of becoming a mobile operator. “This is not our job to heart,” said Larry Page, co-founder of the society. Even if Google is heavily involved in mobile services, its goal is not to compete with U.S. mobile operators.
In contrast, Google would like to see access to frequencies mobile amended. The current auction is not considered satisfactory as it reserves bands of frequencies to the most wealthy.
Larry Page suggests a more dynamic and ultimately more profitable for the U.S. government in the form of active management to continuous mobile frequencies, which is controlled by an independent body, which could be the FCC (Federal Communications Commission ), With continuous exchanges of frequencies between different companies and operators.
For consumers, this would be the end of the networks fragmented by operators and the ability to automatically migrate to the network more attractive, whatever its owner.
