Samsung SGH-i900: a new Windows Mobile PDA to the sauce iPhone

By admin at 18 April, 2008, 9:43 pm

The inspiration generated by the iPhone seems endless. Samsung Unveils discreetly its SGH-i900, future terminal Windows Mobile 6.1 with modern design and close to the phone from Apple. But ressemblence stops there because the rest of the characteristics makes it very different. And its specificity should enable it to gain a place in the market for Windows Mobile smartphones, today dominated by HTC.

The Samsung SGH-i900 offers a screen height, the highly unusual resolution of 240×400 px. The characteristics of the processor are not disclosed, as is often the case with Korean manufacturer. But given the power of the SGH-i780, it can be expected that the new terminal is up to the task.

The functions should be communicating very comprehensive GSM / EDGE, UMTS / HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi 8002.11b / g, and GPS / APGS. Hopefully, Samsung has finally decided to abandon its home port owner for the benefit of traditional USB connector! Side storage, in addition to conventional ROM and RAM space 8GB would use this device as a real digital music player.

No official release date has been provided. But one should not expect to see disembarking the aircraft prior to the beginning of 2008.
