LG formalizes its mobile tactile interface LG KF700

The Korean LG announces the availability of its mobile LG KF700, unveiled at the fair Mobile World Congress 2008, with three different interfaces.
The LG mobile KF700 is part of the new collection terminals unveiled at the salon Mobile World Congress in February 2008 under the banner of tactile interface. The manufacturer was among the first to engage in the very tactile, even ahead of the announcement of the iPhone for a few weeks with her Prada Phone by LG.
Since then, LG has been able to take advantage of the gravitational pull of the model of Apple to grow stronger in this business, with some success since its sales are accelerating, threatening its direct competitor Sony Ericsson and confirms its ambition to become number three worldwide by 2010.
And with the LG KF700, it is a real demonstration of its know-how a LG. Indeed, the mobile has no less than three modes of interaction to manipulate the phone. The most obvious is, of course, the tactile interface with back pressure by vibration covering the entire surface of the terminal.
Three modes of interaction
But, as is apparent in the production presented at the exhibition in February, the tactile interface itself is not sufficient. LG did not make the economy of a sliding keypad, which remains the most effective means for rapid typing messages.
Finally, the third mode of interaction, a knob on the back of the phone gives access to the main functions of a boost, thanks to Short Dial menu. These different ways to react the LG KF700 make a phone fairly unique.
The touchscreen has a diagonal 3 “and a resolution of 240 x 480 pixels, with a dashboard for organizing mobile widgets according to his preferences and a 16:9 format which will see the mobile Internet or watch movies .
Characteristics
As LG View, this terminal offers opportunities worthy of a smartphone while staying in a general public. It is therefore a 3 megapixel camera, access to mobile services Googles (Gmail, Google Maps, Google Search, Youtube) and HSDPA cellular connectivity.
No WiFi yet, but a Bluetooth wireless connectivity, which will use a wireless headset or 90 MB of internal memory, with a port for microSD card and has dimensions of 102 x 51 x 14, 5 mm.
