The Magic Of Inkjet Printing

If you are reading this article on your computer odds are strong there is an inkjet printer within your vicinity. Although the performance of your printer and the inkjet cartridges within may seem to be a product of magic, it may surprise you that the inner workings of the inkjet printer and cartridges are not as complex as you may think.

Inkjet printers came onto the scene in the late 1980’s. Their inception has spawned a multi-billion dollar industry.

Companies don’t just make profits from the inkjet printers alone. Printer ink cartridges, ink refill and cartridge toner are just a few of the supplies included in this market

The inkjet printer uses extremely small drops of ink to create an image. The drops of ink within the cartridges are around 50 microns, tinier than the diameter of a human hair.

The inkjet cartridge toners are available in several forms. There are ink cartridges for black ink printing and inkjet cartridges for color printing. Working together, the cartridges print an image.

Different versions of inkjet printers utilize these cartridges in different ways. There are two main inkjet technologies used to form droplets of ink.

The first version relies on what is known as thermal imaging. Inkjet printers utilizing thermal technology create ink bubbles by using a heat vapor.

The bubble will then expand, pushing ink out of a nozzle onto the paper. As this ink bubble pops, a vacuum is created, pulling more ink from the print head into the cartridge. These inkjet cartridges contain as many as 600 tiny nozzles simultaneously firing droplets of ink.

Epson, though, patented a different kind of technology that uses piezo crystals. In piezoelectric printer ink cartridges, these crystals line the reservoirs of ink.

The crystal receives a message from the inkjet printer causing it to vibrate. These vibrations force tiny amounts of ink out of the cartridge’s nozzles and then refill ink into the reservoirs.

Either one of these printing methods are often favored over expensive laser printing. A laser printer uses a dry ink toner cartridge as opposed to the inkjet toner cartridges described above.

Not only are the inkjet printers and inkjet printer cartridges more affordable than the laser printer and laser cartridge, you can save yourself even more money by refilling the ink and cartridge yourself or buying one from a retailer.

Cartridge World, a leading retailer of printer supplies including refilled inkjet cartridges, offer a wide variety of ink and toner cartridges at a discounted price. These offer exceptional performance without sacrificing quality or the money a new inkjet printer cartridge would.

Knowing you won’t have to mortgage your house to buy your print supplies, your mind can rest easy and begin to create an endless array of media. Inkjet printer cartridges can produce labels, shirt decals pictures and birthday cards.

Magical? No. Practical? Absolutely. Inkjet printers and their compatible cartridges open an endless world of opportunity for their users. So stop reading, start printing and enjoy the wonders of ink.

The most difficult part of this is removing the aeriel cover in one piece without breaking it. The clips are very shallow so you have to get the small flatblade screwdriver almost down flat in the battery compartment pushin up into the catch release areas. Once they are release there are also 2 locating lugs that you need to lift clear of the main chassis before you can edge the aeriel cover away from the base. Take your time.

Google announces a new service for mobile phones: Google Sync is used to automatically return to its smartphone contacts and Google Calendar. BlackBerry, iPhone, Symbian and Windows Mobile are already supported by Google Sync.

Not a week goes by without Google unveiled a new service for mobile phones. After Google Latitude - we recently presented - it is now the turn of Google Sync to its appearance.

Launched at the moment only in beta - like all Google products signed - this new service will enable many holders of smartphones have a calendar and an address book fully up to date with their version of Google, namely Google Calendar for the eponymous service, and Gmail for managing contacts.

Prior to using this new service: have a Gmail account - and of course be used to store contacts - use Google Calendar to enter appointments, and hold a telephone subscription for downloading data (data) with the payment plan or the Act.

Note that many of these services already exist on different platforms of the mobile market. Two main differences emerge in the case of Google Sync: the number of supported environments is quite high (BlackBerry, iPhone, Symbian and Windows Mobile), and the software is totally free.

A first conclusive test on BlackBerry
With about 500 contacts stored in Gmail contacts and forty appointment, our BlackBerry test was not particularly heavy. However, the first synchronization between the two environments has taken some time - about 5 minutes - in GPRS, but was successful. The Google Calendar has been completed automatically, while all smartphone contacts have been saved in Gmail.

Also tested on the iPhone - see the tutorial configuration on site using mobile Google - by Geek Blog - the operation was carried out in a few moments, and also successfully. According to the first returns of the blogger, the information will sync very quickly and push mode services between Gmail contacts and Google Calendar, and without having to restart the Google Sync application each time.

No integrated push Gmail mail
Big disappointment, however the side of e-mails from Gmail, since they are not supported by this new application. And it is true that Google already has many tools to access their Gmail emails, it would have been appropriate to find in one place the 3 major mobile services - calendar, contacts and mail - and unified push mode in a single application.

New sign of openness from Google respond to different mobile platforms in the market, Google once again proves that not only focus on Google Android. Thus, one can find today on most major smartphones market services essential for any person go.
